Welcome to the latest issue of Mindquarry Community Newsletter and thank you for subscribing. Here's a summary of what's new in the Mindquarry universe:
A new version of Mindquarry, 1.1beta, is available for free download and we think it rocks! This release includes some great new goodies and we are ready to hear your feedback.
These are the highlights:
Keep in mind that "beta" means that this release is somewhat unstable. We made it available so that you can test it and let us know about any issues.
By the way: we plan to release the stable version in two weeks. We'll let you know via this newsletter.
All information about 1.1beta, such as new features, downloads, link to an online demo, feature requests, bug reports, etc is available on the Mindquarry 1.1 Release page.
Datamation published an article entitled Ten Bleeding-Edge Open Source Companies, including Mindquarry. In their evaluation of Mindquarry, they weigh the risks as well as the potentials and conclude: "Certainly there will be plenty of firms shopping for such an app in the years ahead."
The Mindquarry Developers Portal got a new start page. It talks about where to find which information and how to contribute to Mindquarry development.
You could contribute with feature requests, bug reports, technical specification, software development, documentation or anywhere else you'd like to contribute!
Lars Trieloff, COO and co-founder at Mindquarry, will present at LinuxTag 2007. His talk is entitled Supporting Technical Documentation Processes with Open Source Tools and will take place June 2nd, 17-18:00.
Stephan Voigt, our CEO and Sandro Groganz, VP Marketing went to California for the Red Herring Spring. Their time schedule was full, but they sneeked in some time for sight seeing and posted their pictures online. See Stephan's and Sandro's Flickr photos.
That's it for today's issue of Mindquarry Community Newsletter and we hope you enjoyed yourself. See you in the Mindquarry universe!
