Ahoy!

Welcome to the 3rd issue of Mindquarry Community Newsletter and thank you for subscribing. Here's a what's new in the Mindquarry universe:

Mindquarry 1.1 stable is now available

Oh yes, the new stable version of our software has finally arrived and ships with some great improvements:

  • The ‘time machine’ activity timeline allows teams to view older versions of files, Wiki pages and tasks as a first step towards an ultimate undo/redo for all team content.
  • The Interlink conveniently links to all files, tasks or other Wiki pages from within the Wiki. The link window also contains a new search option to find items to interlink.
  • Team partners can insert tables and images into Wiki pages as easily as in office documents, allowing better visualization and structuring of ideas and new concepts.
  • Easy Tasks and Files Manager allow users to work with Mindquarry online or offline using a Mac, Windows or Linux operating system. The programs can synchronizes all files and tasks as soon as the user is back online.
  • The intuitive graphical user interface clearly separates list views from item views, expediting work productivity.

What’s so friggin' great about Mindquarry?

... well, that's the question raised in a blogger review of Mindquarry's 1.1beta release by opensourcetutor.com. The response is as follows: "What I will say, is that despite it’s errors and despite it’s beta version, It’s still what I would call a ‘killer app’."

Now that 1.1 stable just got released - does that make Mindquarry even more friggin' great?

The Mindquarry developers portal located at www.mindquarry.org got upgraded from Mindquarry 1.0-M1 to the new Mindquarry 1.1 stable release. Now our developers community can enjoy the new features as well while working on future product releases. This successful upgrade tells you that the migration script which we provide with the new release actually works.

SVN structure changed

If you're a developer and love to live on the bleeding edge, please notice that the structure of our Subversion repository changed. Most importantly, we introduced a trunk/ directory where early development takes place, as well as a branches/ directory, where we work on upcoming releases.

See the updated instructions how to obtain the source code on our Web site, as well as a how-to about installing Mindquarry from SVN on Mac written by our VP Marketing Sandro Groganz.
