Our unique three-tier business model combines all the benefits of Open Source, traditional IT services and Software as a Service (SaaS).
| Open Source: high distribution | IT services: wide adoption | Software as a Service: global consumption |
|---|---|---|
| To achieve high distribution among IT professionals, we provide free software downloads under an Open Source license, fostering a growing community of developers and creating a vibrant ecosystem with growing demand and supply. | To cross the chasm and to secure a predominant market position, we offer the full range of commercial services and support to customers who plan to integrate Mindquarry into their in-house IT infrastructure. | Mindquarry will be available as a consumer-oriented Web-native software on demand for a monthly subscription fee. The different prices and configurations will address the needs and budgets of SMEs as well as large enterprises. |

Mindquarry has the potential to carve out a niche in the burgeoning Web 2.0 space due to its compelling unique selling points. Our competitors include Jive Software, 37Signals (Basecamp), Atlassian, IBM Lotus Connections.
Solutions to cost-intensive activities
Unlike its competitors, Mindquarry combines solutions to all of the most cost-intensive activities of information work (manage conversations, create documents, manage tasks) within one collaborative workspace.
New approach towards teamwork
Mindquarry provides a new approach towards teamwork and its feature set is inspired by social software (e.g. Wiki) and the international Open Source developers community (e.g. concurrent version control). Their tools have proven to be the most effective and inexpensive for modern collaboration.
Open Source disrupts the market
Our Open Source origins give the product additional ability to increase feature sets, build and cultivate a developer community and adjust rapidly to consumer demand - in many of the same ways that Linux, JBoss or Mozilla Firefox disrupt the market.
Mindquarry has a predominant position securing a high Return on Investment. The team combines experience with a fresh approach.
Positioning and RoI
Being the vendor and trademark owner of Mindquarry products, Mindquarry GmbH can naturally prevail the central position in its market.
Team
Mindquarry was founded in mid 2006 as a spin-off of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germany, by Lars Trieloff (COO) and Alexander Saar (CTO). Stephan Voigt joined the international team as CEO (formerly Scopeland) and Sandro Groganz as VP Marketing (formerly eZ Systems).
