Potsdam, Germany, February 28, 2007 -- Mindquarry GmbH, developer of the Mindquarry Collaboration Server, today announced the general availability of version 1.0 of their Mindquarry Collaboration Server. Starting today the Mindquarry Collaboration Server can be downloaded under the open source MPL license. The Mindquarry Collaboration Server is a complete suite of integrated tools for better collaboration and teamwork. It includes a file sharing repository, a Wiki and a task management system that allows teams to keep track of their documents, ideas and tasks.
"With the alpha release of Mindquarry, affordable distributed collaboration becomes possible for mall companies and teams" says Stephan Voigt, CEO of Mindquarry. Lars Trieloff, co-founder and COO of Mindquarry adds: "tools and techniques well known in open source software development are finally available for all knowledge workers."
The Mindquarry Collaboration Server, including desktop clients, graphical installers, documentation and source code, is available for free under the open source Mozilla Public License (MPL).
Mindquarry can be obtained from the Mindquarry Download Site (www.mindquarry.com/downloads/) for Microsoft Windows, Linux and Mac OS X.

Mindquarry was founded in the summer of 2006 by three graduate students of the Hasso-Plattner-Institute in Potsdam, Germany. The founders set out to build better tools for knowledge workers,the result - Mindquarry, the Open Source Collaborative Software for file sharing, tasks management and Wiki editing. For a fast startup, Mindquarry got financial backing through the Hasso Plattner Ventures; Hasso Plattner being a co-founder of SAP.
