Mindquarry was founded by three ambitious students of the Hasso Plattner Institute, Potsdam: Alexander Klimetschek, Alexander Saar, Lars Trieloff.

For augmenting more experiences the founders sought and found support by the Mindquarry Board of Advisors.

In December 2006, Stephan Voigt joined the Management Team as a CEO bringing rich experience in software business into the young team. Four months later, Sandro Groganz joined Mindquarry as VP Marketing adding his expertise in Open Source marketing to the team.
